In The Beginning...
Founded in 2004 by Dr. Bruce McCracken, The Marriage Hub began as House on the Rock Family Ministries. Over the years, the focus on the mission narrowed to work with married couples and did a re-branding to The Marriage Hub to reflect that nature.
The ministry narrowed its focus even further to work with couples in crisis via our Marriage Intensive Retreats. For the past 14 years, that has been the main focus of the ministry. We bring couples who are struggling in their marriage to our 3-day Marriage Intensives. After the weekend is over, we offer a 15-week follow-up “Heavy Lifting” program for all couples.
Our ministry headquarters are in Lancaster, PA (Elizabethtown), and that’s where the first intensives started. Since then, we’ve expanded to working with couples in crisis out of our locations in Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Arizona, and Southern California.
What excites us most is the 85% success rate we’ve had with these couples in crisis. We see couples routinely showing up with divorce papers in hand … and leaving with a renewed passion and excitement for their marriage … and the tools needed to thrive.
While our curriculum comes from a Biblical background and Scriptures are woven throughout our materials, approximately 65% of the couples attending have limited or no faith background. Each couple is clearly given a Gospel presentation and we regularly give out Bibles to couples who share “Jesus” is the missing part of their lives and their marriage.

On our drive home, we were just absorbing all that we had learned and commenting on the many different things that we had learned.
God showed up for us this weekend in so many ways. My husband humbled himself during the intensive and was able to fully participate and engage, being the introvert that he is.
This entire process was all God’s plan, and we see and feel his presence throughout. We are going to humble ourselves and realize that I’m sure our first disagreement is right around the corner but we both feel much more equipped to handle whatever comes our way.
The intensive was exactly what our relationship needed to get us back on the right track. We are looking forward to working through the Heavy Lifting section. We are looking forward to seeing what God is about to show us in our relationship and deeply connecting with him and each other by practicing what we have learned. - April 2025

How to Pray ...
Pray for the couples who are on the fence about attending our program.
Pray for the couples who attend … to be willing to work hard, be vulnerable enough to share their real problems … and to receive and begin using the tools and resources given.
Pray for our Intensive leaders to have wisdom walking through these challenging times with couples together.
Pray for the finances needed to help couples attend.
