In Matthew chapter 9 we find Jesus traveling throughout the cities and villages of His homeland preaching the Good News of God’s coming Kingdom. Not only was Jesus a preacher, He also healed the sick and the hurting. As large crowds of people were drawn to Him, Jesus looked upon the great multitudes, and He had compassion on them.
In the same way that Jesus had compassion on the hurting, the broken, and the marginalized in His community, so are we to have compassion on those in our community.
While we can’t meet every need, we can meet some. We do that through our Compassion Ministries.
