Desiring God:

Finding Complete Satisfaction and Joy in God

In Desiring God, the classic description of Christian hedonism, John Piper explains how the supreme calling of life is to "glorify God by enjoying Him forever."

Drawing upon Scripture after Scripture, Piper shows why pursuing maximum joy is essential to glorifying God and, in what may be surprising to some, how God is ready to pursue with all His might our pleasure in Him! The implications of this truth are discussed in regard to conversion, worship, love, Scripture, prayer, money, marriage, missions, and suffering.

Sessions will typically feature a 30-minute video, followed by a time of discussion, reflection, and prayer.

Starting February 3rd

Led By: Brian Valentine

When: Tuesday Evenings, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

February 3 – April 21

Where: Room 104 at Living Water Community Church

Men’s Wednesday Morning Bible Study

We will journey through two powerful studies designed to deepen our faith and encourage our walk with Christ. For the first 8 weeks, we’ll explore Paul’s letter to the Philippians, discovering how true joy is found not in circumstances but in Christ himself, using “Philippians – What Does Lasting Joy Look Like?”

In the following 8 weeks, we’ll study Paul’s final letter, reflecting on what it means to live courageously, guard the gospel, and remain faithful in challenging times using “2 Timothy – Entrusted and Unashamed.”

There is no homework for either study. Simply read and engage with the passage before class, and come ready to discuss and grow together.

Starting January 14

Led By: Mike Leonzo

When: Wednesday Mornings, 6:15 AM to 7:15 AM

Where: Living Water Community Church, Main Building, Upper Lobby

Men’s Saturday Morning Bible Study

Join us for an engaging Bible study as we explore Titus, James, and Revelation—three powerful books that offer practical wisdom for daily living, encouragement for building strong communities, and hope for the future.

Whether you’re new to the Bible or have studied it before, you’ll find fresh insight and inspiration as we discover how the gospel transforms lives, how genuine faith is lived out, and how God’s promises give us confidence and hope.

Starting January 24th

Led By: Steve Bateman

When: Saturday Mornings, 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM

January 24th – May 30th

Where: Living Water Community Church, Main Building, Upper Lobby

Men of Valor Events

Are you interested in getting together with other Christian men to share experiences and to develop meaningful relationships?

The Men’s Ministry has created a new group called Men of Valor. This group is planning quarterly events for the men of Living Water to foster spiritual growth and mentorship.

Men of Valor Fires

Do men need another group study?

Nope.

Men need authentic friendship. Men need God.

Men need stories of the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.

Men need laughter.

Men need permission to be and become men.

And men need each other.

That’s why Men of Valor Fires was born.

What are Men of Valor Fires?

They are authentic, recurring gatherings where men experience God through the stories of other men. All around a fire.

The Fires exist to foster masculine, God-centered, story-shaped connections. For millennia, men have gathered around flames to share stories, laughter, and moments of masculine initiation.

The 2nd Friday Fires will be from 7-9 PM, meeting in the Paxtonia area. For more information regarding the 2nd Friday fires, including the address, please get in touch with Chad Barber.

The 4th Friday Fires will also be from 7-9 PM, meeting in the West Hanover area. For more information regarding the 4th Friday fires, including the address, please get in touch with Brandon VanderBrook.

Finally, the 4th Saturday Fires will be from 7-9 PM, meeting in the Susquehanna Township area. For more information regarding the 4th Saturday fires, including the address, please get in touch with Dave Todoroff.
