The Men’s Ministry has created a new group called Men of Valor. This group is planning quarterly events for the men of Living Water to foster spiritual growth and mentorship.
Men of Valor Fires
Do men need another group study?
Nope.
Men need authentic friendship. Men need God.
Men need stories of the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.
Men need laughter.
Men need permission to be and become men.
And men need each other.
That’s why Men of Valor Fires was born.

What are Men of Valor Fires?

They are authentic, recurring gatherings where men
experience God through the stories of other men. All around a fire.
​
The Fires exist to foster masculine, God-centered, story-shaped connections. For millennia, men have gathered around flames to share stories, laughter, and moments of masculine initiation.
When: 2nd Friday of every month, next date August 9th, from 7:00 – 9:00 PM
Where: Living Water Lower Level Outdoor Fire Pit

Museum of the Bible
Our late summer event is going to be a trip to the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. We are arranging a guided tour of this magnificent museum. We will learn about the Bible’s impact throughout history and find out all the places around the Washington Mall that have biblical quotes.

Perhaps no other book in history has had a greater impact on the world than the Bible. Its stories, expressions, and ideas have become so ingrained in our everyday lives that they seem almost invisible. Discover how the Bible has shaped everything from your calendar to your clothes at the Museum of the Bible. Learn about the audience of the Scriptures. Hear the words of Jesus and His use of the Scriptures through the hearing of a first-century audience. Get to know the people that Jesus lived with during His time here on Earth. Learn about context. Take these lessons with you as you go back to reading and studying God’s Word for yourself.
This trip is planned for Saturday, August 17th. We will meet at the church at 8 AM and ride in the church van. The museum entrance fee is $22. This includes the one-hour guided tour, after which we will have free time to explore the museum. You will also need to pay for your own lunch in the museum cafeteria (approximately $15). We will return to the church by 5 PM.
